1. Acceptance
By installing or using Page Translator, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.
2. The service
Page Translator provides a browser-based tool for translating visible text on the webpage you are viewing. Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time.
3. Third-party translation service
The current MVP relies on Google's public web translation endpoint. Translation availability, quality, rate limits, response times, and other characteristics may depend on that third-party service. Page Translator does not guarantee that every page, language, or text section will translate successfully.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for using the extension lawfully and for ensuring that you have the right to process and submit any content you choose to translate. Do not use Page Translator to bypass access controls, violate website terms, or process information that you are not authorized to send to a third-party service.
5. Intellectual property
The Page Translator software, branding, website, and original materials are owned by the developer or their respective licensors unless stated otherwise. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the extension for its intended purpose.
6. Availability and changes
The extension is provided on an availability basis. The developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including support for particular languages or translation providers, without guaranteeing continued availability.
7. No warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Page Translator is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Translation results may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Do not rely on machine translation for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions without appropriate human review.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from use of or inability to use the extension. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it. The developer may discontinue the service or restrict access where reasonably necessary, including for security, legal, or operational reasons.
